AHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

Good laugh this what a police state though why can't a bloke buy something he wants to sell on?

On a website like stubhub you don't have to list the exact seat and you can just list different seats in the row. What are they going to do when someone like me a professional "bedroom" tout tries to sell the bloke next to me's seats on the Hub and they get cancelled and nicked?

Professional ticket touts are cunts.

That is all

Joke

I get your point but in your examples the victims (the taxpayer, the taxpayer, consumers, young kids) have no choice. That's why all of those are unacceptable (socially and in most cases legally).

Nobody is being FORCED to buy tickets from touts.

In fairness, but not defence, he's exploiting a fucked up system.

No different to an MP fiddling expenses, a scrounger shying off work, a supermarket passing off horse-meat as beef and Muslims abusing young kids in the community.

They all do it because they know, or have worked out, they can (and get away with it).

ILPDC, are you seriously claiming you save fans money by buying loads of tickets and then selling them at higher than face value but less than other scumbag cunts?

How about if you didn't buy them in the first place and gave them a better chance of getting them at face value?

On The Ball

Isn't there a limit to the number of tickets they can buy online in one go? I may be wrong, but I doubt ILPDC can just log on as soon as tickets go on sale and buy 100 of them.

Any of us could do the same, just we're not that organised/bothered to do so.

Obviously to dress it up as providing a "service" is laughable.

Ultimately though, if people are daft enough to pay hundreds to touts for tickets that cost a lot less; well you know what they say about fools and money.

Ignoring the fact that when people sell their house, they generally buy a new one to LIVE IN.

The following question is often posed on day one of Economics degrees:

"You're walking in the desert when you come across a man who is seconds from dying of thirst. You have a bottle of water. He would promise you everything he has in the world for it. What is a fair price to charge and why?"

The point is to establish that economics and market theory cannot be entirely separated from human morality - whatever you believe is fair in this scenario is, in part, a moral choice

Haha hilarious.

A tout comparing what he does to people selling a property for profit. Amazing.

Re: Cheers for a good laugh Guardian
It's exploiting the fact that there are only a limited number of seats in the stadium.

If someone buys a house or some products and tries to sell them at two or three times the price, most people would laugh and think they were idiots. There are usually plenty of other houses or equivalent products around that they can buy instead.

If you're a tout, you're not the 21st century's greatest criminal, but you are a bit of a pest.

Dursley - I don't think it is capitalism though, there's a real snidey side to it. I have no problem with people who buy things in bulk, ship them here and there, then sell them to me at a profit. For the most part they'll have done something I can't reasonably. People like this cunt prevent people like us from buying things at their actual price, that they should have been able to buy.

To suggest this "service" unites fans with tickets is ludicrous - is he claiming that otherwise thousands of tickets for every event would just go to waste somehow? No, they'd be in the hands of fans.

Cuntism.

Re: Cheers for a good laugh Guardian
ILPDC - what you're doing is buying a big chunk of the houses, preventing those who wanted to buy a house at the original price from doing so. You then very charitably help them by selling them one at a falsely inflated price for your "efforts".

It is completely different to one non-cunt just selling their one house.

Re: Cheers for a good laugh Guardian
I don't really see the big issue with ticket touts. It's just capitalism. Buying something and selling on at a profit.

Every retailer in the land does it. Just because you're a massive One Direction fan doesn't entitle you to below market value prices.

Don't get me wrong, I don't LIKE it, but nobody is being forced to buy them from touts.

Slightly different scenarios there you spaz (sorry Kevin Kilbane).

You're purchasing tickets for the sole purpose of profiting from their resale.

The SOLE purpose.

I think face has summed you up quite succinctly.

To use a popular Americanism 'what is with the butthurt'?

Do you own a house? Will you feel like a prick if you profit on it and sell it to someone?

If you don't own a house why should you pay double what someone paid 10 years ago? Its not like they did an extension and made it double nice. Inflation hasn't doubled. How is that no worse than someone selling you a 40 quid ticket for 80?

Re: Cheers for a good laugh Guardian
So, if I can just summarise here:

1. In general, you buy a lot of tickets for events you have no intention of going to, as soon as they come available, with the sole purpose of selling them on later.

2. By doing so, you reduce the chances of people who actually wish to attend the event, of purchasing these same tickets at their original value.

3. You then sell these tickets at a later date, for more than their original purchase price, but less than the most expensive alternative tickets, thereby making yourself a tidy profit and "helping" others, because they're not the most expensive tickets on sale.

Is that it?

I think I'm going to stick with my first judgement of you being a fuckwit.

Its good to see the folks who would have enjoyed communism and living in the Soviet Union on here.

Why isn't it wrong for people to sell their houses at a profit? A struggling growing young family shouldn't be lining the pockets of some old cunts going into a nursing home getting ready to die should they????

Re: Cheers for a good laugh Guardian
Ha ha ha so now you do it to HELP people?

How very charitable of you.

Selling them on at face value would be helping people.

What are you talking about you sad wanker? I don't do anything but save folks money to sporting events. Sorry my customers aren't perfect anad don't but tickets the moment they go on sale but rather months later days before the event.

I told you I liike to sell 200-300 for a game how the fuck are that many people going to buy from me if Im not giving them a great deal and saving them money.

Twat.

You just jealous because you never had the balls to be what you wanted to be. Say goodnight to the bad guy.
